Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of development and implementation of the common Turkic alphabet based on Latin script which consists of 34 letters. The phonetic specialists have described the articulation of the whole composition of the Turkic sounds and compiled a classification table. Experimental application of the common Turkic alphabet with regard to the Kazakh language is carried out. The principle «one sound – one sign (letter)» when compiling the Latin script is proposed.

Abstract

The issues of placement and distribution of ancient Turkic tribes have not been fully resolved yet. However, the facts of comparing the languages and their dialects elucidate some obscure questions. The article studies the modern dialects of the heirs of the ancient Turkic tribes of the Gadzhal in Turkey and Azerbaijan from the phonetic point of view. The study was conducted by historical-comparative and descriptive methods. In the course of the research the texts belonging to both dialects were presented. The comparison of phonetic features of the modern dialects of the Gadzhal tribe makes it possible to infer that the location of these Turkic tribes in these territories covered earlier periods, that is, before the arrival of the Seljuks.

Abstract

The ancient names were associated with the typical habits of the people, their beliefs, creativity. Names before Islam were the earliest names. These names are found in Orcson-Yenisei monuments, Oguz names and Kitabi Dede Gorgud epos. Some of these names have survived to our times unchanged, but some have been preserved in a modified form. There are names in our language that cannot be explained in modern Azerbaijani. These names are based on words from the ancient Turkic languages. Currently, some of these words are used in some Turkic languages. The names of the Azerbaijani people reflect their past, thinking and originality. Azerbaijani names are divided into three categories: national names, borrowed names, hybrid names. There are quite a lot of names in the language, which are made up of common vocabulary. The name is influenced by social and political conditions.
