WAYS OF TRANSLATING PAST TENSE FORMS IN INFORMATIVE AND SCIENTIFIC TEXTS FROM ENGLISH INTO KAZAKH

Abstract

In this article peculiarities of translation of past tense forms from English on Kazakh in informative and scientific texts are considered. The considered work is devoted to the comparative analysis of the tense forms transferring past actions in the English and Kazakh languages. In recent decades, comparative-typological approach is attracting the attention of linguists. Comparative study of languages is of great importance for the construction of the linguistic theory of translation. Therefore, in the present study we used data from the comparative study of languages. On the basis of this analysis cases of similarity and divergence between the tense forms transferring past actions are established, various ways of transfer of past actions from English into the Kazakh language are ofered and, thus, grammatical aspects of the translation are established.
