The issues of national history, culture, traditions of the Kazakh people are considered in the article «Seven faces of the great steppe» by Elbasy. Special attention is paid to the problems of the Kazakh language.

The article covers the process of developing a spelling dictionary and spelling reference book, developed according to the latinographic Kazakh alphabet. It also analyzes, on the basis of linguistic data, the need to adapt not normally used borrowed words to the laws of the Kazakh language.
