Abstract

The article considers phraseological units related to the names of cereal crops in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages. In this regard, the purpose of the study is based on a comparative study of the names of cereal crops in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages from a cognitive aspect. Understanding the specifics of each nation through its language is an important issue of modern linguistic communication. Therefore, the tasks were set, firstly, to describe the semantic features of the names of cereal crops in the Kazakh language; secondly, to describe the semantic features of the phraseological concepts of cereal crops in Russian and English and to study the linguistic and cultural features of the names of cereal crops in unrelated languages. The main problem of this article is that at present, comparative research of the phraseological systems of these languages is insufficiently developed. It should be noted that for a long time phraseological units of the Kazakh language have not been subjected to in-depth scientific analysis. This article presents a comparative analysis of phraseological units of the Russian, English and Kazakh languages, aimed at studying interlingual phraseological units and identifying their correspondence. Theoretical and empirical methods were used when writing this article. The material was collected using the following groups of research methods: analysis, comparison, observation, modeling method, continuous sampling method. 10 sources that met the review criteria were included in the study. The material for this study was Kazakh, Russian and English phraseological units selected from authoritative Kazakh, Russian and English phraseological dictionaries. The main conclusions of this article are that each language has its own phraseological units. That is, phraseological units have certain similarities and differences, which are often due to the differences in language, national culture, value priorities and mentality of each person. In this regard, the level of value of the study is determined. The results of the research can be used as an additional source in research, lectures and practical classes in ethnolinguistics, linguoculturology, linguistics and other fields, when compiling dictionaries and texts.
