Abstract

Bilingualism and polylingualism of that time was not as mass as bilingualism and polylingualism of the Turkic world of Central Asia of the Eurasian multiethnic space of the second half of the twentieth century (Kazakh - Russian, Uzbek-Russian, etc.) and was not so massively highly educated, i.e. massively reading, writing, speaking.

The types of bilingualism and polylinguism of that time and today, from the point of view of their classification by the degree of proficiency of bilinguals and polylinguals in certain languages, are subject to the same classification – subordinate bi - and polylinguism, autonomous bi – and polylinguism.

The article examines the types of bilingualism and polylinguism with the participation of the Turkic, Arabic and Persian languages in Central Asia and examines their formation. It also analyzes the types of bilingualism and polylinguism in diachronic and synchronic aspects in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Abstract

The current stage of the development of the science of Cognitive Linguistics sets the task for researchers – to re-examine these issues on the basis of modern methods, one of which is the method of studying language units as a peculiar system. In Turkic languages, the most advanced lexical-semantic group consists of names of relationship, and this article is devoted to their comparative analysis. The relevance of this article lies in the fact that it considers names of relationship in Turkology in functional-semantic aspect. The onomasiological character of study of linguistic facts is the main leading principle of Functional Linguistics which represents a new direction in Turkology. A language and its layers are represented as a whole system, including names of relationship. The functional- semantic classification of names of relationship in Turkic languages allows determination of the genetic nature of the most common meanings of names of relationship. All names of relationship are combined into one lexical-semantic field on the basis of the seme “relationship”, which is an integral and leading one in semantic structures.
