About Alimkhan Zhunusbek

Abstract

   The article is dedicated to Professor A. Zhunusbek. A. Zhunusbek is a Kazakhstani scientist who occupies an important place in linguistics. He devoted his life to Kazakh phonetics, orthography and made a great contribution to the study of the problems of orthoepy, the theory of synharmonism. Professor A. Zhunusbek studied general word formation in general in the Turkic and Kazakh languages (prosody of the word); the law of synharmonism (consonance) in the Kazakh language; the law of articulation models as part of the articulation base (model); sound composition and line of syllables and morphemes in the language (linear magnitude); issues of transition to the Latin alphabet; methods of teaching Kazakh the language of representatives of other nationalities.
