The phonetic specialists have described the articulation of the whole composition of the Turkic sounds and compiled a classification table. Experimental application of the common Turkic alphabet with regard to the Kazakh language is carried out. The principle «one sound – one sign (letter)» when compiling the Latin script is proposed.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Türk dilleri</kwd><kwd>Kazak dili</kwd><kwd>alfabe</kwd><kwd>ses</kwd><kwd>harf</kwd><kwd>metin</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>alphabet</kwd><kwd>sound</kwd><kwd>letter</kwd><kwd>text</kwd><kwd>Turkic languages</kwd><kwd>the Kazakh language</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">https://adebiportal.kz/kz/news/view/3264</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">https://adebiportal.kz/kz/news/view/3264</mixed-citation></citation-alternatives></ref><ref id="cit2"><label>2</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">https://abai.kz/</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">https://abai.kz/</mixed-citation></citation-alternatives></ref></ref-list><fn-group><fn fn-type="conflict"><p>The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest present.</p></fn></fn-group></back></article>
