<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>   Modern English language has a particularly large number of combinations of postpositions with verbs. Their number is growing steadily. This is evidenced by books, dictionaries, dedicated to phrasal verbs and their use. Along with the increasing number, the frequency of their use is also growing. This means that they perform a desired function due to their greater brevity and expressiveness. The study of phrasal verbs is one of the most difficult tasks for a person who wants to improve his or her level of the English language. Phrasal verbs that are more frequently used in conversation have already moved to the language of the media, business and economy.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>фразовый глагол</kwd><kwd>предлог</kwd><kwd>наречие</kwd><kwd>частица</kwd><kwd>идиомы</kwd><kwd>аналитические формы</kwd><kwd>семантика</kwd><kwd>составные глаголы</kwd><kwd>вспомогательный глагол</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>phrasal verb</kwd><kwd>preposition</kwd><kwd>adverb</kwd><kwd>particle</kwd><kwd>semantics</kwd><kwd>idioms</kwd><kwd>analytical forms</kwd><kwd>compound verbs</kwd><kwd>auxiliary verb</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Anichkov I.
